• Department of Practice and Career

  • Main Objectives of the Department of Professional Practice and Career:
  • Organizing the maintenance of internal documentation and concluding agreements with heads of enterprises (organizations, institutions) serving as internship bases for students;
  • Implementing activities aimed at effective employment;
  • Facilitating effective graduate employment through cooperation with local executive authorities, including public service bodies, regional employment agencies, departments of education and youth policy, as well as public organizations and associations, and employers;
  • Creating and publishing an electronic vacancy database on the university website, provided by employers in relevant fields of study (EP – Educational Programs), to support graduate employment;
  • Implementing activities for the effective assessment of teachers’ knowledge.

  Main Tasks of the Department of Professional Practice and Career:

  • Organizing and coordinating the process of students’ professional internships;
  • Ensuring communication between the university and employers, identifying internship bases;
  • Supporting students’ career development;
  • Providing individual consultations, employment assistance, and support in developing career plans;
  • Disseminating information about job vacancies;
  • Establishing connections with employers in Almaty, Astana, and other regions, and informing students;
  • Assisting in the preparation of résumés, cover letters, and interview preparation;
  • Training on proper document preparation and providing guidance on interview behavior;
  • Organizing career events (job fairs, trainings, seminars, meetings) to strengthen the connection between students and the labor market;
  • Monitoring graduate employment rates and maintaining statistical reports.

  Functions of the Department:

  • Developing unified regulations and organizational–methodological documentation in accordance with internship program requirements, curricula, academic calendars, and official internal university documents for conducting professional practice (academic, pedagogical, industrial, and pre-diploma internships);
  • Planning professional internships and coordinating internships by fields of study (specialties);
  • Conducting master classes for students assigned to professional internships, informing them about promising employment opportunities, organizing master classes by leading employers aimed at developing career skills necessary for employment;
  • Assisting graduate employment and adaptation to the labor market based on real demand in specific fields of study (EP – Educational Programs).
