SILVER UNIVERSITY

"Silver University", the University of the Third age is an international movement to create favorable conditions for the successful adaptation of older people in modern life, for self–education and self-improvement.
Purpose: The University was established within the framework of the strategy of development and transformation of Society in order to expand the usual formats of education and increase the social activity of the older generation.
Tasks:
- extension of active longevity;
- creating conditions for the continuity of generations;
- improving the quality of life and social activity of older citizens;
- formation and development of the communication environment;
- activation of creative potential and preservation of a positive attitude to life;
- promotion of a healthy lifestyle, increasing the level of physical activity;
- development of intellectual potential, strengthening the health of citizens;
- ensuring effective cooperation in the field of support for people of retirement age.
SILVER UNIVERSITY COURSES
- Classes are held 2 times a week according to the schedule;
- The duration of one lesson is 45 minutes;
- The duration of one training course is no more than three months;
- The group of listeners is at least 5 people;
- Classes are held in a group form;
- Forms of classes: lectures, seminars, excursions, trainings;
- The format of classes is full-time and distance form;
- The academic year at the "Silver University" is from October 1 to May 1;
- At the end of the classes (course), a certificate is issued.
Training at the "Silver University" is carried out according to a separate schedule of the educational process.
