Ports relay was held among students

  ALMATY. November 17. Press center – Events on the occasion of 30th anniversary of independence of the country are continuing at our University. In honor of the significant date, the relay race «Fun Starts» was held among the students of the University.

  Four teams of first-year students participated in the competitions organized in order to promote a healthy lifestyle among students, developing mass sports, and introducing sport to young people.

  During the relay race, among the teams «Kyz Zhibek», «Karlygash», «Symbat» and «Sulular» there were determined the strongest ones, according to the results of the 10 stages.

  The teams competed in such types of sports as table tennis, togyzkumalak, mini-football, volleyball and basketball.

  According to the results of the competition, the first place was taken by the “Karlygash” team. The second place  by “Kyz Zhibek”, the third and fourth places – by “Sulular” and “Symbat” teams.

  The winners and runners-up were awarded with thank-you notes and memorable gifts.

  It should be noted that the relay race “Fun Starts” was organized on the initiative of teachers of the Department of physical culture and sports.

  Promoting healthy lifestyles among young people is the beginning of a mature future. In his message, The first President Nursultan Nazarbayev focuses on the need to pay a very big  attention to the development of physical culture and sports in the country. Today, systematic work is being carried out in this way, special state programs are being implemented. In a comprehensive secondary school, the main requirement is the upbringing of comprehensively developed, healthy, committed to the healthy lifestyle of young people. In this regard, we believe that such events are of high importance, - say the organizers.
