The issues of improving the efficiency of trade union work were discussed

  ALMATY. November 1. Press center – What is the role of a trade union organization? What is its effectiveness? These and other issues were comprehensively discussed at the meeting headed by the Chair of the Board - Rector of the University Gulmira Qanay and the Chair of the Kazakhstan Branch Professional Union of Education and Science Workers Aigul Mukasheva.

  At the meeting, the parties also considered mechanisms for increasing mutual cooperation.

  At the meeting, the Rector of the University shared plans for the further development of the University, she told about the tasks of updating the infrastructure, material and technical base.

  – With the support of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, starting from this academic year, the salary of the teaching staff of the university has increased by 30%. There are plans to increase the average salary of teachers several times compared to previous years, by 2024, – Gulmira Qanay said.

  The Chair of the branch of trade union Aigul Mukasheva informed about the activities of the organization.

  – The branch trade union pays particular attention to the development and strengthening of social partnership, monitoring compliance with labor legislation, rational organization of work to improve the health of trade union members and their families, the revival of the best traditions of trade unions. In 2020, 2,961 written appeals of employees of this industry were considered, more than 45 thousand consultations were issued. Over the past six months, 14,325 people have applied to the Trade Union Council. These indicators show the confidence of industry workers in the trade union, and a sense of real help, – Aigul Mukasheva said.

  She also wished the Rector and the University staff success in training highly qualified teaching staff of the country.

  During the meeting, a group of university employees were awarded special badges of the branch trade union, as well as certificates of honor. Also, 5 trade union veterans were awarded sanatorium vouchers.
