NUR-SULTAN. February 24. Press center – Despite the increase in the number of students in the country's universities, its infrastructure has not increased. This was announced at a meeting of the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov with the leadership of the university.
– Although the number of students in the country's universities has increased, its infrastructure has not increased. Therefore, on behalf of the Minister, measures will be taken this year to develop the infrastructure of higher education in the framework of public-private partnership, – said Adilet Toybayev, Director of the Department of Higher and Postgraduate Education.
According to him, there is an opinion that the Ministry is working to tighten regulations in the field of education. Looking at the recent changes, along with the systematic work to expand academic independence, quality requirements are also increasing.
– First, changes have been made to the State Compulsory Education Standard. This provided ample opportunity to attract interns at the undergraduate level. Second, the requirements for supervisors at the master's and doctoral levels have been strengthened. Third, the content of doctoral studies includes disciplines in academic writing and research methods, – said Adilet Toybayev.
