    • The Impact of Nutrition on Thinking and Mood

On May 30, 2025, an informative meeting was held at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University for second-year students of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences and Arts. The guest speaker was Almagul Erzhekenova, a nutritionist from the Center for Mental Health Development.

The topic of the meeting was the influence of nutrition on the brain, thinking, and emotional state of students. The nutritionist explained how different foods affect concentration, memory, mood, and energy levels. Special attention was given to the importance of micronutrients and vitamins necessary for the nervous system, as well as maintaining a healthy diet during exam periods and times of intense mental activity.

The speaker also debunked common myths about "quick snacks" and energy drinks, emphasizing that their short-term effect is often followed by fatigue and decreased cognitive performance. As an alternative, she offered simple and accessible solutions—foods that stimulate mental activity, improve sleep, and help stabilize emotional well-being.

The meeting proved to be informative and beneficial for students. Events like this are undoubtedly an important step toward strengthening the physical and mental health of young learners.
