    • A conference was held held on  the topic «improving teaching and learning through lesson study

      The conference on «Improving teaching and learning through lesson study» is taking place with the support of the Department of Education of Almaty City at the Kazakh national women's teacher training university.

                                                        

      The plenary session featured speeches by the university's rector - Gulmira Qanay, as well as international professors Elaine Wilson from the University of Cambridge and Dr. Thomas Harriott - Director of Orion college, Riddlesdown Academy. Substantial presentations were also delivered by member of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence - Qyzhibek Abradamanova, Zhanna Khisamiddinova - director of Almaty general education school No. 49, head of the University's Informal Education Center - Jaliya Dzhaidakpaeva.

                                                                               

      The conference is attended by teachers from Almaty and students from our university. Participants present their works across several key sections, including the plenary session, which addresses relevant issues in lesson study and implementation specifics in schools.

                                                         

      Teachers of all levels engage in discussions and willingly share their experiences during section meetings. Over 50 teachers from leading schools, where Lesson Study has become an integral part of the learning process, as well as more than 200 prospective teachers represented by students from our university, participated in this extensive event.
