The meeting «Sovereignty is the wish of the country, the Elbasy is the backbone of the country»

  On the eve of the Day of the First President of Kazakhstan and the Independence Day, an internship was held at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.

  The meeting on «Sovereignty is the desire of the country, the Elbasy – the backbone of the country» was attended by public figures, scientists and university teachers and representatives of non-governmental organizations.

  The event was opened by Alibi Nesipbayev, the coordinator of the Department of Youth and Public Organizations of the Women's University.

  The meeting identified topical issues in the history of formation and development of an independent state, the historical role of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in democratization and strengthening the presidential institution, the contribution to the process of unification, peace and harmony and foreign policy strategy.

  Academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Bereket Karibayev was the first to speak at the meeting on "The Day of the First President - the Day of Respect for Statehood".

  - There are a lot of holidays in the country today. They can even be grouped as family, national, international, professional, institutional, state. While acknowledging that each holiday has its own peculiarities, I would like to say that public holidays, in particular, the Independence Day and the Day of the First President, have a special place and significance in the history of the country. The celebration of such important national holidays is, first of all, important for further highlighting the importance of statehood in the minds of the people, to educate the younger generation to love the country, the spirit of statehood, to instill in them a sense of statehood, - said Bereket Karibayev.
  Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Arman Zhumadil emphasized that the main achievement of our country is independence. Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Bolat Sailan reported on the contribution of the President to the establishment and development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

  - One of the priorities in the formation of statehood after the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was to create its own army capable of defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state. The establishment of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, the history of which began on a blank page, was carried out with the direct participation of the President. 28 years ago, on May 7, 1992, in accordance with the Decree of President Nursultan Nazarbayev "On the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan", the country's private army was created. As a result of the specific tasks set by the President at that time and the effective decisions taken, the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan today strongly defend the territorial integrity of the republic, - said Bolat Sailan.

  In addition, during the event Sh. Deputy Director of the Institute of History and Archeology named after Valikhanov Auezhan Shashaev, Associate Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Edil Noyanov, Associate Professor of the Women's University Akmaral Kozhabekova spoke about the achievements of independence and the work of the President.

  - During the twenty-nine years of independence, our country has been recognized by the whole world. We have shown our potential to the world community. During these years, socio-economic and socio-political reforms have been successfully implemented. The hope for a bright future, a perfect future, was followed by national confidence. All this was possible due to the prudent and prudent policy of the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. We hope that this significant date will go down in history as a celebration of the personality of the President in the formation of a strong competitive state, - said the participants of the meeting.
