      Teacher shortage reduction program presented

      ALMATY. APRIL 27. PRESS CENTER - The Department of Career, Employment and Alumni Relations of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University organized a special working group meeting led by Karambayev Zhomart, a representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to present a special program to support the country's best teachers. 

      In accordance with the instruction given by the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Kelevich Tokayev at the extended session of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on January 11, 2022, a special program was developed with a package "to attract the best teachers for regions with a shortage of teachers".

      The purpose of the program:

      • To create a sustainable model to attract and stabilize qualified and motivated teachers in the regional education systems and improve the quality of education.
      • Development of a system for the recruitment and selection of teachers and a package of incentives to support them.
      • Professional development of teachers through professional development and teaching support.

      During the discussion of approaches to the development of the program, the recommendations of experts in the field of education were studied, as well as international experience in improving the human resource capacity of educational organizations, as well as the quality of student learning.

      In order to familiarize themselves with the content of the program, members of the working group of the Committee on Pre-school and Secondary Education of the MES RK started explanatory work in several regions of the country, including Almaty city, Atyrau, Turkestan and Mangistau regions.

      The working group to clarify the "Special program to attract the best teachers with an appropriate package of support measures for regions with a shortage of teachers" includes:

      GROUP 1.

      • 1. Karambayev Zhomart - Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Pre-School and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the head of the group. 2.
      • 2. Gulzat Bralina - Leading Specialist of Legal Department of "Kazakhstan Department of Trade Union of Education and Science.
      • 3. Zhumakhmetova Magiya - Head of Education Sector of Atyrau City, Department of Education of Atyrau Region.
      • 4. Sultanbekov Orynbasar - methodologist of MCO "Center for Education Development" of Human Resources Development Department of Turkestan region.
      • 5. Toleubekova Araylym - chief specialist of pre-school education and training, personnel, documentation of Department of Education of Almaty region
      • 6. Mamaeva Akmonshak - deputy director of the "Training and Methodological Center of Education" of the Department of Education of the Mangistau region
      • 7. Natalya Zhumadildaeva - Advisor to the Chairman of the NIS Board.

      As part of this event, the program was presented to graduates and teachers of our university.

      Based on the analysis of the current situation and problems in the target regions of the Program, a number of important issues to be addressed by the Program, the goal, the main objectives and activities to achieve the expected results, the organization and conduct of the competitive selection of teachers were discussed.
