      ALMATY. APRIL 15. PRESS CENTER – The Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University hosted the next international conference "Universities in the conditions of social transformation: empirical research in education and psychology.

      Vice-Rector of Research and International Collaborations of the University Zakir Daniyaruly thanked the participants of the conference and presented the moderation to the Dean of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Associate Professor Gulzhan Serikkyzy.

      The first speaker was Khorlan Toktamyskyzy, doctor of psychological sciences, professor of theoretical and practical psychology department of our university, who made a report on "The realities and prospects of training psychologists in higher education". She also noted that proposals have been sent to the government to improve the professional level of psychologists in educational institutions.

      Daniel Hernandez-Torrano, Assistant Professor at the School of Higher Education at Nazarbayev University, who participated in the conference online, shared the results of his study on the concept of "The psychological well-being of young people in Kazakhstan: Concepts, trends, and factors". In conclusion, the factors affecting the well-being of schoolchildren, the role of school psychologists, and opportunities for meaningful work were discussed.

      Another speaker, Natalya Mikhailovna, Director of the non-governmental organization "JANYM", shared her research "Review of psychological problems of adolescents who seek help from psychologists". According to the results, the most acute problems in the country were identified. The origins of these problems were also listed and analyzed.

      Ainur Askarbekkyzy, PhD, who made a report "Empirical research in special and inclusive education" focused on the issues of inclusive education.

      Senior teacher of theoretical and practical psychology department of QyzPU, master of science Zhaina Adikhankyzy in her report "Pedagogical and psychological bases of technologies of professional orientation of teenagers" proposed to use the experience of foreign developed countries, to conduct professional orientation work not only for school graduates but to start training from early years.

      From the experiments conducted with the graduates cited concrete examples, when the student who does not like his profession, can not become a highly qualified specialist, it becomes an obstacle, affecting our state development. President of the Kazakh Psychological Society, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor Mukan Perlenbetov also took part in the large-scale meeting. He told that he works together with the Ministry to review the issue of the role of psychology specialists in education in Kazakhstan and concluded that he will continue to work on solving problems in this direction.
