Development of Teaching and Learning through Lesson Study

Dear QyzPU staff! We invite you to take part in the II annual city scientific and practical conference on the topic "Development of Teaching and Learning through Lesson Study", which will be held on May 16, 2025.

The purpose of the event is to create a platform for exchanging experiences, analyzing the achieved results and identifying the prospects for applying the Lesson Study method in educational organizations of different levels.

The conference will be held in a daytime format and will provide an opportunity to discuss current issues of applying the Lesson Study method in educational practice and exchange experiences.

The event will include a plenary session, panel discussions and poster sessions. In these sessions, students defending theses on the topic of Lesson Study, as well as experienced teachers will share the results of their research and experience.

Conference languages: Kazakh, Russian, English.

Participation is free.

Participation format: offline (in-person).

Certificates will be issued upon participation in the conference. Publication of conference materials is not planning.

Conference participation formats:

1) Sectional work (oral report) - a presentation in .pptx format must be sent to the email address orap@qyzpu.edu.kz no later than May 14, 2025. and a brief summary of the study (abstract of the report) must be included in the registration form. When filling out the registration form, you will need to include a brief summary of the study (abstract of the report) in the appropriate field.

2) Poster session. To present a report in the poster session format, you must prepare: Either a spider banner (mobile stand) measuring 160 cm (height) x 60 cm (width) or 180 cm (height) x 80 cm (width). Or an A1 poster (594 x 841 mm). When filling out the registration form, you will need to include a brief summary of the study (abstract of the report) in the appropriate field.

3)Listener. Participation in the conference as a listener without presenting a report. Video and photography will be carried out at the conference with subsequent publication of materials in the media.
