Applications for the Visiting Scholar 2025 program are now open

  Dear Professors and Researchers! The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan invites applications for the Visiting Scholar Program 2025.

  This program aims to internationalize educational programs and strengthen the scientific potential of universities in Kazakhstan.

  Eligibility Criteria:

  • Professors or researchers affiliated with universities ranked in the top 500 of global academic rankings or international research laboratories;
  • At least 5 publications in high-ranking international journals over the past three years;
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent).

  Expectations for Visiting Scholars:

  • Conduct lectures and practical sessions (minimum 8 academic hours per week, including at least 2 hours in English);
  • Supervise or provide consultations for master’s and doctoral dissertations (minimum 3 hours per week);
  • Organize seminars and training sessions for the university community;
  • Collaborate on scientific publications with local researchers;
  • Develop and submit grant proposals with Kazakhstani scholars.

  Program Benefits:

  • Monthly honorarium of $4,000 (subject to local taxation);
  • Travel expenses are the responsibility of the visiting scholar.

  How to Apply:

  • Complete the application form (template provided);
  • Prepare the following documents: Passport’s first page;
  • Resume (no more than 2 pages);
  • Copy of degree certificate.

  Application Deadline: November 29, 2024.
