      Republican Olympiad of specialists in

      ALMATY. MARCH 30. PRESS CENTER. April 20-21 the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University will host the XIV Republican Subject Olympiad for university students on the educational program "Library science".

      The Olympiad aims to instill in students a sense of patriotism, civic education, respect for library science, identify students who have shown a special ability and interest in the study of library disciplines.

      Applications for participation are accepted until April 11, 2022.

      The address of the organizing committee: Almaty city, 99, Aiteke bi street (corner of Seyfullin street), Kazakh National Teacher Training University, Main Academic Building, Library Science and Bibliography Department, 213th auditorium.

      Students of 1-4 courses may participate in the olympiad. The team should consist of 4 participants.

      Expenses for participation in the Olympiad ( transport and accommodation) are paid by the sending side.

      Student Subject Olympiad on the educational program " Library Science" is held in 3 stages in the form of team competitions.

      • I round. As homework for teams performs a greeting. In the task, participants introduce the specialty, which includes focusing on practical work and creative approaches, the meaning, and peculiarities.
      • II round. Quiz for the teams on situational and questions on the educational program " Library Science". Each team will be asked 1 (one) situational and 2 (two) questions in the Library Science educational program.
      • III round. Develop and defend a research project related to library operations.

      - "New Look - New Library" (implementation and application of new technologies in library work);

      - "Children's Reading in the Informational Environment of the Library" (dedicated to the year 2022 announced by the Head of the State K.J.Tokayev as the "Year of Children").

      The order of documents submitted to the organizing committee of the Olympiad

      Documents required for participation in the Olympiad:

      • 1. Application form (see Annex 1).
      • 2. Extract from the Minutes of the Academic Council of the University on the recommendation of the team to participate in the Republican Student Subject Olympiad.

      Information on the composition of the participants and the team leader.

      The above-mentioned documents for participation in the Olympiad must be submitted by April 11th, 2022 in accordance with the attached form and sent to the organizing committee.
