      ALMATY. MARCH 30. PRESS CENTER - "Kazakh National Women Teacher Training University" and the Shokan Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology jointly held an international scientific and practical online conference in honor of the outstanding scholar, Doctor of History Kenes Nurpeis as part of the traditional "Nurpeis Readings".

      The conference covered 4 sections devoted to theoretical and practical issues of historical sciences, the main problems of history teaching in schools and innovative technologies of history teaching in universities, as well as the educational role of history in the education system.

      The opening speech of the international conference was given to Shamek Tleubaev, the deputy director of scientific work, the candidate for historical sciences of the Institute of history and Ethnology named after Shokan Valikhanov.

      Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Adilkhan Kudaibergenov talked about the book "Memories of Kenes Nurpeis" in his report "The scientist who honors humanity":

      - More than a hundred memories of Kenes Nurpeis are collected in this collection. This may be a sign that the scientist was able to gather many noble and kind people around him. Kenes Nurpeis's multifaceted career and lifestyle are reflected in the memoirs of the authors included in this collection. He also noted that Kenes Nurpeis's great merits in science and life can also be considered due to the support of his life companion, Maryam Junusovna.

      Professor Rahbar Murtazaeva of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek and Professor Mehmet Ekiz of the Nigde Omer Halisdemir University in Turkey made presentations on historical research and development of their countries. Several professors and scientists from the country also read specially prepared speeches and expressed their congratulations.

      The evening concluded with the presentation of the book "The Moral Life of Kenes Nurpeis," by Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Taldybek Nurpeisov.

      Also, students were awarded prizes, among which were Yskak Uldana, a 2-nd year history student, and Isakhanova Shyraylym, 3-rd year student of Kazakh National Women Teacher Training University.

      In connection with questions discussed at the conference other ways of the decision were offered: representation of historical science by new modern methods, development of national history in a new perspective, focusing on new directions, and establishment of a tradition of "Nurpeis readings" at the Kazakh National Women Teacher Training University.
