Rector meets with activist students

  ALMATY. March 24. Press center – The development of social activity of students is one of the strategic priorities of our university. In this regard the development of student self-governance, improvement of corporate culture of students and shaping of their personality are of great importance.

  In order to achieve this goal, The Chair of the Managing Board - Rector of the University, Gulmira Qanay met with active representatives of the student community.

  At the meeting, which was organized in the Town hall format, students and young teachers expressed their opinions and made many suggestions.

  Among them, improving the work of student organizations, the creation of an interesting and vibrant student life at the University, the expansion of academic mobility and dual-degree programs.

  The questions voiced at the meeting, aimed at mutual benefit, were answered in detail by members of the Board. They also said that the suggestions made during the meeting would not be ignored.

  The meeting was summarized by Gulmira Qanay, Rector of the University. She noted that such meetings would be held regularly and that this step would be beneficial to all parties.

  P.S.: Student self-government is a unique example of public activity to solve the pressing issues related to the organization of education, life, leisure of students, increasing their social activity.

  Today there are about 15 student organizations at our University. There are about 4000 students in them.

  The main purpose of student government organizations is the formation of civic-patriotic education of young people, the promotion of national values, social support for young students, the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
