ALMATY. March 10. Press center – The staff of Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University expresses its condolences to the family and friends in connection with the death of Qaishyken Nygymetova, a famous scientist, a prominent teacher-psychologist.
Qaishyken Nygymetova was born on February 15, 1954 in Karkaraly district of Karaganda region.
In 1976 she graduated with honors from the then Kazakh State teacher training Pedagogical Institute, Faculty of Preschool Education majoring in pedagogy and psychology.
She began her career in 1976 as a methodologist at the preschool department of the district department of education in Karkaralinsk, Karaganda region.
From 1978 to 1986 she worked as a teacher of psychology at the Kaskelen pedagogical school.
Since 1986, she worked as a senior lecturer at the psychology department of the Kazakh State Women's Pedagogical Institute.
While working at the educational institution, she took an active part in community affairs. She stood out for her research work and did a lot of work in the field of education and science.
Under the scientist's authorship were published textbooks «General Psychology», «Psychology of children with disabilities», «Psychopedagogy of Health», «Child Psychology». She also conducted several research projects with domestic scientists.
In 2009 she successfully defended her PhD thesis on "The impact of the environment on the psychological health of children". The results of basic research in this area can be considered an invaluable contribution to the field of psychology and ecology.
The vivid image of the outstanding scientist, who made a great contribution to the development of psychology in Kazakhstan, will remain in our memory for a long time.
