      QyzPU student won an international art contest

      ALMATY. March 10. Press center –  Dear friends, we share with you the good news. QyzPU University student Asel Kutban won first place in «Artivities 2022» International Art Competition in Texas, USA.

      About 100 participants from 32 countries took part in the competition, which was organized in several genres. Initiated by the Texas School of Talent and «Artivities»  Festival Center, contestants competed in the following categories: academic vocal, vocal, folk vocal, pop vocal, and jazz vocal.

      Asel Kutban performed the kuy «Yerke sylkym» by the famous composer Abdymomyn Zheldibayev in the genre of instrumental music. The skill and method of performance of Asel's composition were highly appreciated by professional musicians of international fame.

      According to the supervisor of the talented student, teacher of the department of «Music» Nurgul Bakytbekovna, the careful preparation for the competition gave its results.

      - There is a reason why I chose Asel Kutban among my students to participate in this competition. Her diligence and love for the art are gratifying. During this training, we learned new techniques for playing the dombra and corrected several deficiencies. As a result, we received high scores from the jury at the world competition, - she said.

      Asel Kutban, a 2nd-year «Music» specialty student at QyzPU University, has achieved many successes before. She has won many national and international art competitions. As a finalist in the national «X-Factor» TV project, she impressed audiences in Kazakhstan with her work.

      According to Asel, the University is a major influence on her success.

      - I have my reasons for choosing this University. Because here, along with music theory, they teach instrumental playing. There is a base of experienced teachers and qualified instructors. Also, the presence of such famous graduates as Madina Yeralieva, Tamara Asar, Dina Khamzina, Gulnur Orazymbetova influenced my choice, - says Asel Kutban.
