«Let's Tell Ourselves About Ourselves»: Meeting with a student of «Choreography» specialty

  ALMATY. March 2. Press center – «Choreography» is one of the most popular and interesting professions in our university. Graduates of this specialty work in popular dance ensembles and arts collectives of the country. There are many graduates who open their own studios and teach students. Renata Alshymbayeva is one of our talented students. She is a member of the dance ensemble «Tomiris». In the interview she will tell about herself and specifics of her profession.

   

  – Renata, tell us about yourself.

  – Hello, my name is Renata. I am 21 years old. I am a 4th-year student in the specialty «Choreography». At the given moment I do an internship and I am preparing for the defense of my diploma work.

   

  – Why did you choose QyzPU and this profession?

  – I am involved in dance since childhood. And when I chose my profession I understood that dancing became my life. I already had a concrete purpose - to become the choreographer. After reading the information about our university, having learned that it is in the thirty best in the country, second among pedagogical universities and, fortunately, there is a specialty «Choreography», I did not hesitate, I entered our university.

   

  – Where can graduates of this specialty work?

  – The art of choreography has become much more popular. And the demand for specialists in choreography is increasing every day. The range of activities is wide: from schools to theaters, you can open your own collective or, as a performer, work in state and folk ensembles.

   

  – Where can I get an internship in this specialty?

  – An internship can take place, for example, in a school or schoolhouse, you can also try that in a kindergarten, etc.

   

  – Do you like student life at QyzPU?

  – Certainly, I like it! Since my first year, I have been dancing in the ensemble «Tomiris» at the university. I participated in various concerts, events, and contests.

   

  – What successes you have achieved thanks to QyzPU?

  – For the last two years I was the owner of the President scholarship. I am very grateful to QyzPU.

   

  – Your goal...

  – To become a good, educated specialist.

   

  – What do you want to say to the applicant choosing QyzPU?

  – To wish you good luck. It will be difficult at times but know that you will not regret going to this University. Enjoy every moment of student life.
