      University scientists received a patent for a scientific invention

      ALMATY. JANUARY 26. PRESS CENTER – Scientists of QyzPU received a patent for a scientific invention. The team of authors, which includes Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Bolat Jiembaev, senior researcher Akbota Kuandykova, and senior lecturer of the Department of Chemistry Gulzhanat Doszhanova, found a new way to accelerate the growth of vegetable crops.

      The research was conducted in the Complex Chemical and Biological Research Center of the University. Experts from the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University were also involved.

      According to scientists, scientific discovery will accelerate the growth of crops and vegetables and increase crop yields.

      – The research work lasted several months. The innovation was positively assessed by the scientific community. Earlier, the other research that we conducted in this center was patented, – said the head of the research group, Professor Bolat Jiembayev.

      Today, specialists are actively studying organic phosphorus compounds in all major scientific centers of the world. This is determined by their chemical value, their importance for the survival of organisms, and a wide range of practical applications in industry, agriculture, engineering, and households. Organophosphorus compounds are widely used, especially in agriculture, as plant protection and weed control agents.

      It should be noted that the center on the basis of the Institute of Natural Sciences conducts basic and applied research in chemistry and biology, as well as practical classes.

      With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of RK, the Center is equipped with modern devices such as Miniflex 300/600, phase X-ray diffractometer Rigaku, atomic absorption spectrometer Perkin Elmer PinAAcle 900T, UviLine 9100, SI Analytical spectrophotometer.

      The Center cooperates with Kazakhstani and foreign scientific communities and research centers. Not only researches are conducted here, but additional educational programs are developed and implemented.

      During the last years, the scientists of the University got about 100 patents for inventions and inventor's certificates. In particular, in 2021 alone, 28 certificates were received.
