      The university has a Сenter for the development of inclusive education

      ALMATY. December 24. Press center – Inclusive education is a public need. Today, the issue that attracts the attention of the whole world is inclusive education, which provides for the full integration of children's individual needs and characteristics into the educational process with the participation of the environment and the family. In this regard, the Center for the Development of Inclusive and Special Education was opened at the University.

      Among the main tasks of the Center are educational and methodological support for students of the University with special needs, delivering the course «Inclusive Education» to improve the level of knowledge of teachers, psychologists, educational psychologists, social workers teaching students with special needs in educational institutions.

      The center conducts correctional work with students with special educational needs, as well as timely support.

      The Center for the Development of Inclusive and Special Education works in the areas of analytical, information, organizational-methodological, and consulting activities.

       

      Analytical activities:

      • identifying the professional and informational needs of employees providing inclusive and special education;

      • identification and dissemination of pedagogical experience of working with students with special needs.

       

      Information activities:

      • formation of a bank of pedagogical information (normative, scientific and methodological, methodological, etc.) on the basics of inclusive education;

      • familiarization of heads and teachers of educational institutions with the experience of teachers working in the field of inclusive education;

      • informing the community of teachers and parents about the results of the activities carried out by the center.

       

      Organizational and methodological activities:

      • providing methodological and practical assistance in inclusive education to managers and teachers in educational institutions;

      • providing students with special needs with methods of teaching in a general education institution;

      • holding of scientific and practical seminars, conferences, pedagogical readings, round table discussions on inclusive education;

      • interaction and exchange of experience with various structures working on inclusive education.

       

      Consulting activities:

      • Advising the community of teachers and parents on the development, training and education of children with special needs.

      – Inclusive education in secondary schools is aimed  at educating children with special needs. Inclusive education is based on the ideology of eliminating any discrimination against children, ensuring equal treatment of all people, and  creation of special conditions for children with special educational needs, – say the experts of the Center.
