      ALMATY. December 7. Press center – The staff of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University expresses condolences to the family and friends of the famous historian, scientist, publicist Talas Omarbekov.

      Professor Talas Omarbekov gave lectures to future historians at the University and for several years served as chairman of the state exam on the subject «History of Kazakhstan».

      He studied the heritage of Muhammad Haidar Dughlat, historical figures of the Middle Ages, and conducted a number of studies on theoretical and methodological issues of chronology of national history.

      He was one of the first historians to study the history of the establishment of the Stalinist totalitarian system in Kazakhstan and its consequences.

      During his lifetime, the scientist was able to bring up several generations and form a school of experienced historians in the country.

      His scientific and pedagogical activity is known not only in the country, but also abroad. Talas Omarbekov's contribution to the study of the history of the origin and formation of the Kazakh people and its statehood is significant.

      The intelligentsia appreciates Talas Omarbekov as one of the citizens who showed a new model of service to the nation in substantiating the state ideology.

      His instructive life was not just a set of years, but years of search and work, aspiration and success, learning and teaching.
