      ALMATY. October 15. Press center – Today is a professional holiday for the staff of the library system. Librarians play an important role in preserving the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.

      Today, the Scientific Library of our University provides services such as providing readers with books, organizing open access to books in the reading room, electronic document exchange, using international databases through the library's website, and electronic data transmission.

      The library's funds contain more than 1 million items of storage, including about 700 thousand copies of educational literature, more than 192 thousand copies of scientific literature, 142 thousand copies of fiction, dictionaries, reference books and encyclopedias – 54 thousand copies. In Kazakh – 936,512 copies, in Russian – 120,939 copies, in foreign languages – 10,327 copies.

      In 2020, the University's electronic library created digital copies of more than 300 literary artifacts published in the nineteenth century, as well as textbooks in 20 scientific areas.

      There are electronic editions of the project "100 new textbooks in the Kazakh language".

      Library readers have the opportunity to download electronic publications to their computer and mobile phone.
