      ALMATY. Oktober 6. Press center – Dear friends! We are continuing the rubrics «Famous scientists». Today we will tell you about the famous Dr of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Honored worker of the nuclear industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhametkali Matayev.

      More than 100 scientific papers of the scientist have been published on his behalf. There are 9 textbooks and 9 patents for inventions.

      Under the authorship of Mukhametkali Matayev, about 50 articles have been published in republican and foreign scientific magazines.

      Scientific works

      Under his leadership, five candidates of sciences, two PhD doctors and about fifty undergraduates have been trained. The research works carried out by his students were awarded with diplomas and diplomas at university, national and international conferences and competitions.

      Mukhametkali Matayev made a great contribution to the development of domestic science as a member of the National Academy of Mining Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Dissertation Council for the defense of dissertations of Candidate of Chemical Sciences of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University, Chairman of the Dissertation Council for the defense of doctoral dissertations, expert of projects on commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities of the grant program of JSC “National Agency for Technological Development”.

      Under his leadership, projects were implemented on the topic: “Development and physical foundations of new crystal systems belonging to the class of multiferroics”, “Synthesis and physico-chemical research of new generations of multifunctional magnetic materials”, “Development of innovative technology for the intensification of a uranium production well using a hydrodynamic de-polymatization unit, together with a multifunctional complex of chemical reagents”.

      Biography

      Mukhametkali Matayev graduated with honors from E. A. Buketov Karaganda State University in 1985, specialty “Chemistry”. In 1991, he completed a scientific internship at the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

      Over the years, he worked at the E. A. Buketov KarSU as an engineer, senior researcher, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, Head of the Department of Chemistry of the Kazakh national women's teacher training university, head of the laboratory of the national company “Kazatomprom”, senior researcher.

      Since September 2021, he has been working as a professor at the Department of Chemistry of the Kazakh national women's teacher training university.

      In 1995 he successfully defended his PhD thesis on the next topic “Synthesis and physico-chemical study of mixed bismuth and lead oxyhalides”, in 2011 he defended his doctoral thesis on the topic “Synthesis and physico-chemical studies of complex bismuth ferrite”.

      By the order of the Committee for Control in the Field of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science dated May 17, 2018, the scientist was awarded the academic title of professor in the specialty chemistry.

      For his significant contribution to the development of domestic science, Mukhametkali Matayev was awarded the Honorary Badge “Honored Worker of the Nuclear Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan” of the III degree, the honorary badge of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Best Scientist” and honorary diplomas of industry institutions and organizations.
