ALMATY. August 25. Press center – The Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University was visited by Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Committee for social and cultural development Zhuldyz Suleimenova.
The purpose of the visit of the deputy is to get acquainted with the current state of the educational institution for training domestic teachers, discuss with the staff of the University the necessary work on the development of pedagogical education in Kazakhstan.
The meeting was opened and conducted by Gulmira Qanay, the Chair of the Managing Board – Rector of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.
– Over the past ten years, significant reforms have been taking place in the country's secondary education sector. Among them, an updated educational program, an assessment system, updated pedagogical approaches, and a new policy of inclusive education has been introduced. It is expected that the new law «On the status of teachers», adopted at the end of 2019, will contribute to a significant increase in the salary and status of teachers, – Gulmira Qanay noted.
In turn, Zhuldyz Suleimenova spoke in detail about improving the quality of higher education institutions and raising the status of teachers.
In addition, during the meeting, the deputy of the Mazhilis answered to the questions asked by the staff of the University, where it is necessary to find solutions to these issues.
Gulmira Qanay summed up the results of the meeting and thanked the deputy on behalf of the university staff for the informative conversation in a free format.
