«Famous Scientists of Women’s University»: Aigul Satbekova

  ALMATY. June 18. Press center – Aigul Satbekova is a Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor and Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan.

  As a result of comprehensive scientific and methodological research the scientist has more than 300 scientific and methodological articles in international and national publications.

  She is the author of 12 manuals, 22 teaching aids, 24 methodological guidelines and 2 monographs.

  Several educational-methodical complexes of Aigul Satbekova entered the scientific turnover and have been successfully practiced in secondary and higher schools.

   

  Research Work

  Aigul Amantayevna successfully defended her thesis on "Teaching the Kazakh language in the 6th grade in a Russian school" in 1996 under the scientific supervision of Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor A. Ablakov, in 2009 she successfully defended her doctoral thesis on "Scientific and methodological principles of the project teaching of Kazakh in non-Kazakh classroom  (humanitarian department)" under the scientific supervision of K. Kadasheva, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor.

  In 1998 by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor of Pedagogy and in 2011 she was awarded the title of Professor.

  As a result of comprehensive scientific and methodological research Aigul Satbekova published more than 300 research and scientific-methodological articles in international and national editions.

  She has published 10 textbooks, 2 textbooks on renewed educational content, 22 teaching aids, 24 manuals, several collections of exercises and dictations; 2 monographs, 3 grammar tables and grammar reference books, several educational and methodical complexes aimed at qualitative professional education in Higher School; they have been introduced into scientific community and  tested in practice at  secondary schools and universities.

  "Education received without proper upbringing is dangerous for society." Therefore, from 2004 to 2015, Aigul Amantayevna held various leadership positions at Women's University, where she attached great importance to educating students in the interests of a secular society, in accordance with our national identity.

  We emphasize that at the initiative of the then rector of the university, a statesman Shamsha Kopbaevna Berkimbayeva became a tradition to hold educational meetings with today's Kazakh intellectuals, public figures, prominent mothers, teachers and celebrities.

   

  Biography

  Aigul Satbekova was born on May 27, 1967 in Almaty. In 1984, she left a secondary school 229 "Abyztobe" in Zhanakorgan rayon of Kyzylorda oblast.

  In 1989, she graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Kazakh State Women's Teacher Training Institute as a teacher of Russian language and literature in a national school.

  She began her career as secretary of the Komsomol committee of the university.

  In September 1990 she took a position of lecturer at the department of Kazakh language and literature. In 1994, she was transferred to the position of senior lecturer of the Kazakh language department.

  In 2003, she was appointed as a member and scientific secretary of the Joint Doctoral Dissertation Council at the Kazakh State Women's Teacher Training Institute. From 2004 to 2015, she worked as dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, head of the educational and methodological department, vice-rector for educational work, dean of the Faculty of Philology.

  Since 2015, she has been working as a Professor at the Department of Language Theory and Teaching Methodology of the Faculty of Kazakh Philology and World Languages.

  In April 2009, by order of the Committee for Control in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aigul Satbekova was appointed a member of the Attestation Commission of the Aktobe State Pedagogical Institute to conduct state attestation.

  Also in 2015, she was appointed scientific secretary and member of the dissertation council for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in education (humanities and natural sciences) at the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai.

  The merits of Aigul Amantayevna in the education of students and the development of science have not gone unnoticed.

  In particular, for her significant achievements in teaching and educating the younger generation, she was awarded the badge named after Y. Altynsarin, a medal "For valorous work in the development of education.

  А. Satbekova was awarded the title "The Best Lecturer of the University", an Academician of the International Academy of Science of Pedagogical Education (IASPE) and the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan.
