      NUR-SULTAN. April 13. Press center – Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov said that annually 50 best researchers will be awarded a prize of 5 million tenge.

      «The mechanism here will be similar to the competition «The best teacher of the university». It became possible in accordance with the new amendments to the Law On Science. With the support of the head of state Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in 2020 a new budget program aimed at strengthening the material and technical base and enhancing the work of scientific organizations subordinate to the Ministry, amounting to 2.8 billion tenge was opened. As a result, equipment for 23 research institutes was bought», – Askhat Aimagambetov wrote on his Facebook page.

      The minister also said that since this year 500 scientists will be sent for training to leading scientific centers of the world and 1 000 grants will be allocated within the framework of «Zhas Gylym» project.
