ALMATY. March 30. Press center – A great scientist became famous at the women's university. In honor of the birthday of the laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences Kenes Nurpeis at the educational institution and the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh. Ualikhanov held an international scientific and practical conference on the topic: «Independent Kazakhstan: the history of creation and topical problems of strengthening statehood».
Online-meeting within the framework of traditional «Nurpeis Readings» was held in 5 directions, and during the meeting well-known domestic and foreign scientists delivered their reports.
In particular, the participants of the meeting discussed "Social and economic reforms in independent Kazakhstan: history and results," "Cultural and spiritual changes in independent Kazakhstan: our achievements and shortcomings," "Constitutional development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Reforms and innovations in the state authorities", Program" Spiritual Revival "and continuation of work on formation of historical consciousness of the population", "Science in Kazakhstan and its topical problems. Organization of research work of young scientists and continuity in science".
Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Sain Borbasov "Spiritual revival - the basis of the future of the country", Doctor of History, Professor of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek Rahbar Murtazaev "Formation and implementation of youth policy in conditions of Professor of the National Security Committee, Candidate of Historical Sciences Kayni Shaimerdenova "Academician Kenes Nurpeis - a great figure in the history of Kazakhstan", Deputy Director of the Institute of State History, Doctor of Historical Sciences Burkitbay Ayagan shared his thoughts and research on the topic "The study of the Kazakh language. Statehood: the history of the Great Ulus-Altyn Orda. ".
Professor of Turkish University Selcuk Hasan Bahar also spoke about the Latin alphabet and the relationship between Kazakhstan and Turkey in the field of script.
At the end of the meeting a decision will be made and a special collection will be published based on materials received at the conference.
- The participation in the conference of famous public figures, leading scientists and young historians is a great interest in the scientific heritage of the famous researcher, academician Kenes Nurpeisovich, who conducted fundamental research on topical issues of national history and was actively involved in the training of highly qualified scientific personnel, - say the organizers of the event.
Kenes Nurpeis was born on March 15, 1935 in Raiymbek district of Almaty region. From 1946 to 1952 he studied at the men's school № 18 named Zhambyl of Almaty, from 1952 to 1957 at the History Department of the present Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi. In 1958 Sh. Valikhanov was a qualified specialist of the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography. He worked at the Institute until the end of his life. He worked his way up from a junior researcher to a famous scientist, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences. His many years of teaching at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training Institute were also part of his long experience in the life of a scholar.
Kenes Nurpeis is the author of about 500 scientific publications and more than 20 monographs. His researches were devoted to the history of the national liberation movement of the Kazakh people in 1916, two revolutions of 1917 and civil conflicts of 1918-1920, the history of state building in the XX century, political repressions and socio-political life of Kazakhstan. The first results of the research are presented in the monograph "Alash and Alashorda", which was highly appreciated by the scientific community. Under his guidance more than 10 doctoral dissertations and about 50 PhD dissertations were defended.
- Teachers and staff of universities and research institutes from England, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan took part in the international conference "Nurpeis Readings". The main purpose of the meeting, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence, is further strengthening of independence and statehood, ensuring the spiritual and cultural unity, cohesion and progress of the people of Kazakhstan, - said the staff of the Institute of History and Foreign Languages at Women's University.
