Nurgali Arshabekov: The main goal is modern education based on quality

  ALMATY. February 24. Press center – Nurgali Arshabekov, Acting Chairman and Rector of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, commented on the meeting on quality improvement in higher education.

  Yesterday a meeting was held with the participation of the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov and representatives of departments and heads of domestic universities.

  The issues of development of the quality of education in Kazakhstan's universities in accordance with the requirements of the times were discussed at the online meeting.

  The period in which we live does not raise indifference. Time has shown that in the new millennium, the competition will be dominated by competitive, educated and qualified personnel. In this regard, the formation of a school of competent professionals is a huge task for universities.

  Speakers at the meeting spoke in detail about these issues, current global trends and mechanisms in education.

  During the meeting, reports were made on "Issues and measures taken to ensure quality in education and science", "On the quality of training in higher education" and focused on specific tasks.

  Summing up the meeting based on mutual dialogue, Minister Askhat Kanatovich noted that the main focus is on quality in training, regardless of whether it is a public or private university. In addition, the head of the department stressed the need to pay special attention to the ongoing work to strengthen the position of universities in the national rankings and rankings of educational programs.

  The State Program for the Development of Education and Science in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2025 provides important opportunities for the development of competitive human capital in the country. The goal is to implement it effectively, correctly and competently in all areas and tasks. In this regard, domestic universities play a leading role.
