On October 7, 2025, the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University hosted the traditional “Students Party” – a festive evening dedicated to welcoming first-year students into university life. The event took place in the Grand Ballroom and marked a joyful, inspiring milestone for 2,243 newcomers beginning their journey at QyzPU.
The celebration was held in two sessions. The first included students from the Institute of Philology, the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences and Arts, the College of Vocational Education, and cadets from military institutes. The second session welcomed students from the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, the Institute of Natural Sciences, and the Institute of Physics, Mathematics, and Digital Technologies.
The evening began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Acting Chair of the Board – Rector, Suatai Sabit, addressed the first-year students with a welcome speech:
“Being part of this sacred alma mater, which has raised countless talented women over its 80-year history and guided them to the heights of success, is both a great honor and a profound responsibility. The great thinker Abai Kunanbayev believed that the philosophy of the 'Perfect Human' is built on three interconnected principles: ‘Passionate Will,’ ‘Bright Mind,’ and ‘Kind Heart.’ These qualities must exist in harmony to shape a person striving for self-knowledge, spiritual, and moral development.”
One of the most emotional moments of the evening was the ceremonial transfer of the university’s symbols of spiritual values to the first-year students — a tradition that symbolizes the unity of the student body and the continuity between generations at QyzPU.
The program was thematically built on Abai's philosophy of the “Perfect Human” and was divided into three areas: Passionate Will, Bright Mind, and Kind Heart. Students presented creative performances — songs, dances, and theatrical scenes — that brought inspiration and festive spirit to the audience.
Karina Otenbayeva, a first-year student from the Institute of Philology, majoring in Russian Language, shared her impressions:
“Tonight left an unforgettable impression. I see this event as my first step into active university life and future achievements. Receiving the symbol was both a great honor and a serious responsibility. I want to grow in every way and contribute to the development of our university. From the very first days, I’ve felt like a part of a big family. Being a QyzPU student is a true source of pride!”
The event was also attended by representatives of the Department of Youth Policy, community centers of Almaty, as well as cadets from the Sagadat Nurmagambetov Military Institute of Land Forces, the Military Engineering Institute of Radio Electronics and Communications, the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Border Service Academy of the NSC RK.
The Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University congratulates all students on the start of the new academic year and wishes them success, inspiration, and remarkable achievements!
