      On October 7, 2025, the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University held a memorial evening dedicated to the honored artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, renowned pop singer, and senior lecturer of the Department of Choreography and Art Management — Gulnara Sykhymbayeva. The event was organized by the Department of Choreography and Art Management.

      The purpose of the evening was to introduce students to the life and creative legacy of this stage master, to pay tribute to a respected teacher, and to emphasize the importance of spiritual and cultural values.

      The evening featured a presentation of the main milestones in Gulnara Ermekkyzy’s artistic journey. Students performed a poetic tribute in her honor, and the event concluded with a heartfelt rendition of her beloved song “Men sağan ökpelemeymin” (“I Hold No Grudge Against You”), which brought warm emotions and touching memories to the audience.

      The memorial was attended by honored artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sulushash Nurmagambetova, Ulzhan Aynakulova, actor and singer, and “Daryn” State Youth Award laureate Baigali Yesenaliev, as well as Gulnara Ermekkyzy’s son and daughter-in-law, who shared touching personal memories of her as both a person and an educator.

      Gulnara Sykhymbayeva was born in 1961 in the Tyulkubas district of the Turkestan region. She gained national popularity as a soloist in the well-known ensemble “Gulder”, captivating audiences with songs like “Men sağan ökpelemeymin”, “Bishi qaiyng”, “Merekem – sen”, and “Ayaulym”. In her later years, she worked as a lecturer at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, where she passionately taught the performing arts and passed on her love for music and creativity to her students.
