    • QyzPU Students Offer Attention and Assistance to Elderly People on Their Holiday

On October 1st, the International Day of Older Persons, students and staff of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University delivered food baskets to elderly residents living alone in the Almalinsky district of Almaty.

The young people not only brought festive cheer but also assisted with household chores, engaged in conversations with the pensioners, and expressed warm words of respect.

The main goal of the charitable event, organized by the university staff, was to recognize the contributions of veterans to the development of society, show care for them, and instill values of kindness and compassion in students.

It is noteworthy that the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University plans to continue this initiative regularly. In the future, volunteer students will visit elderly residents living alone on a monthly basis, learn about their needs, and provide ongoing assistance with daily tasks.

The project is being implemented in line with one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – SDG 11: "Sustainable Cities and Communities."
