    • QyzPU Students Advance to the Round of 1/16 in the “Azamat” Televised Debate Project

QyzPU students took part in the televised debate project “Azamat,” which returned to the air with the support of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Culture and Information, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the “Khabar” Agency.

The project featured teams selected from the 32 best universities across the country, and among them were QyzPU students who showcased their knowledge and oratory skills.

Zhanerke Kelgenbay, a student at the Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Digital Technologies, and Merei Pernebay, a first-year student at the Institute of Philology — both members of the debate club of the Youth Policy Center "Parasatty Naǵyz Liderler Odaǵy” — debated against students from S. Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University on the topic: “Effective Ways to Elevate the Status of the Working Person in Society.”

During the televised debate, the students demonstrated a high level of preparation, delivering an in-depth analysis of the issue, well-founded arguments, and effective counterpoints. Through critical thinking and eloquence, they clearly articulated their position on who skilled laborers are, what their rights and contributions are, and how society can better support them.

“The revived television project has seen significant improvements compared to previous seasons. While earlier only Almaty-based students could participate, this year the opportunity was extended to students from all regions of the country. Free accommodation, meals, transfers, and mentorship support in Astana were also provided. We express our sincere gratitude to the Mazhilis of the Parliament, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the ‘Khabar’ Agency, and the founder of the ‘Qazaq Debate’ movement for giving university students a platform to showcase their abilities,” noted Meiramgul Bakhytzhankyzy, head of the debate club and the Youth Policy Center.

QyzPU’s active participation in this project is a clear reflection of the university’s high-quality educational environment and comprehensive youth development strategy.

Congratulations to the debate club “Parasatty Naǵyz Liderler Odaǵy” on their achievement, and we wish them success in the upcoming stages of the competition!
