On May 26, the Department of Music of the Institute of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts hosted the first guest lecture by Professor Timur Vural — conductor, pianist, and PhD — from the State Conservatory of Turkish Music at Ömer Halisdemir University in Niğde, Turkey. The lecture took place as part of the academic mobility program.
During his visit, Professor Vural worked creatively with the university’s women’s choir and conducted an impressive masterclass on the subjects of Conducting and his main instrument — Piano. In addition, a scientific seminar was organized for the department’s faculty members. This initiative will continue through May 31.
Such international events not only contribute to the professional development of both students and faculty, but also open up new opportunities for creative collaboration across cultures.
This experience serves as an excellent opportunity for future professionals in the field of music and is an important step in enhancing the international reputation of our university.
