      The project «Successful youth»: Gulnur Ibrai

      ALMATY. February 8. Press center – Gulnur Ibrai is a 1st year student of the Higher School of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training  University.

      What success has she achieved?

      She is a bronze medalist of the World Cup in weightlifting among juniors.

      What is the level of the championship?

      400 athletes from 61 countries took part in the flagship competition organized by the Peruvian Weightlifting Federation in Lima, Peru. On behalf of Kazakhstan, 7 athletes were sent to test their skills in this competition.

      During the competition, Gulnur Ibrai competed in the weight category up to 64 kg and scored a total of 197 points.

      In the final of the competition, the Kazakh weightlifter met with athletes from Mexico and Colombia and found out their strengths. However, in terms of points, he lost to his opponents and took third place.

      What is her purpose?

      –  Weightlifting plays an important role in my life. This sport allowed me to gain a lot of knowledge and experience. In my opinion, weightlifting has a lot of differences from other competitions. One of them is the creation of world records and stories in front of the audience. This effect is indescribable, – says Gulnur Ibrai.
