      Sanitary and educational meeting on tuberculosis prevention

      On April 18, phthisiatrician-doctor of the Phthisiopulmonology Center of Almaty city Aliya Sharapova, as well as specialists of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Department of the Almalinsky district Almagul Kalibekova and Amina Akhmetova held a meeting with students of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.

      The meeting was organized by the Center for Mental Health Development at the university.

      The purpose of the event is to inform students about tuberculosis prevention, early diagnosis and risk factors, recognition of disease symptoms, routes of infection transmission, as well as the popularization of a healthy lifestyle.

      During the meeting, specialists spoke in detail about the epidemiological situation of tuberculosis, cases identified among students and sanitary and preventive measures taken. In addition, the participants received answers to questions about the importance of fluorographic examination, ways to strengthen the immune system and the social aspects of the disease.
