      Careers in English Language Teaching: Insights and Opportunities

      The Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Consulate General in Almaty, in collaboration with the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, organized an outreach event titled “Careers in English Language Teaching: Insights and Opportunities.”

      The aim was to provide third- and fourth-year English major students with opportunities for professional development, education, and experience sharing.

      During the event, participants received information about teaching English in schools as well as professional development programs offered by the U.S. Mission. A Q&A session was also held for attendees.

      Assistant Public Affairs Officer Deje Holmes, Fulbright TEA alumna and English teacher Banu Amanzholova, and the English Language Programs Coordinator took part in the event, offering comprehensive insights into professional growth opportunities.

      This meeting allowed students specializing in English language education to better understand their career prospects, learn about international programs in depth, and directly engage with experienced professionals. Such outreach events support the professional development of future language teachers and help pave their way into the global educational arena.
