THE WORLD OF CHESS: KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL

  Chess is becoming more than just a game, it is an important part of the educational process at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University. On March 18, an inspiring guest lecture was held with the participation of legends of the chess world: Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation Gulmira Dauletova, and Asian Women's Champion, silver medalist of the World Championship and the World Chess Olympiad as part of the Kazakhstan national team Ksenia Balabayeva.

  The speakers shared their paths to success, talked about the influence of chess on life and revealed the secrets of mastery. In addition, the event presented a unique minor program "Chess Teacher", developed jointly with the Chess Federation of Kazakhstan.

  "Today we discussed the development of chess in Kazakhstan, its benefits for students, as well as the role in the development of thinking and strategic abilities. The students were very active. From this year, jointly with the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University we will start to implement a minor program," said Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Chess Federation Gulmira Dauletova.

  Students were given the opportunity to be inspired by experts' experience and ask questions. This event gave a new impetus to the development of chess at the university.

  It should be noted that QyzPU is actively involved in the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Chess in the Republic of Kazakhstan, training specialists who can instill an interest and love for this intellectual game in the younger generation.
