Today, the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University hosted a memorial event, "Memorial Day of the Canakkale Victory and Martyrs", organized jointly with the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty. The event was attended by the university's faculty, students and specially invited guests.
This event was organized in memory of the historical significance of the Canakkale Battle and national identity. The program began with a minute of silence and the performance of the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Turkey. The event was opened by the Consul General of Turkey in Almaty, Mr. Evren Muderrisoglu, who in his speech emphasized the historical significance of the Canakkale victory and its role in the formation of national consciousness.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tadjettin Shimshek delivered a report, "March 12 - Adoption of the National Anthem of Turkey", talking about the symbolism and meaning of the anthem for the Turkish people. Associate Professor, Dr. Zeki Gurel presented a report on the topic "March 18 Canakkale and the Role of Mehmet Akif in the National Struggle".
The cultural program included performances by students from various universities. Students from Caspian University performed the "March 12 Song", and students from the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages recited the "Canakkale Ballad". Students from Talgar Lyceum performed choral works, including the song "Canakkale" and the composition "Stop, Traveler!" Students from the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University presented historical oratorical performances "Canakkale is Unapproachable" and "The Year 1915", and a student from the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages recited a heartfelt "Letter".
The event became an important platform for honoring the memory of fallen heroes and strengthening cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Turkey. The participants noted the importance of preserving historical memory and friendship between the two nations.
