      QyzPU hosted a meeting with a professor from the University of Sussex

      A meeting of the faculty, students and postgraduates with Marcelo Staricoff, professor of the Department of Education and Social Work, assistant professor of primary education at the University of Sussex, was held at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Department of Preschool Education.

      As part of the meeting, Marcelo Staricoff visited the State Budgetary Institution "Nursery-garden No. 187" in Almaty, where the headmistress Farida Omarbekova introduced the activities of the kindergarten, the peculiarity of organizing organized activities in the form of a game, as well as national values, familiarization with which is carried out on the basis of the author's program.

      During the meeting, the faculty, students and postgraduates got acquainted with the work "The Joy of Not Knowing", which says that "sometimes we feel discomfort when we don't know something, sometimes we are afraid to admit it, which accordingly makes us insecure. However, being able to experience joy from not knowing opens the doors of knowledge and the desire to learn something new for us…” This meeting allowed us to rethink existing stereotypes about not knowing and learn a new philosophy.
