      The Issue of Functional Literacy in the Context of Modern Education

      On November 6, the meeting of the Educational and methodological Association of the NJSC "Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University" in the areas of 012 - Pedagogy of Preschool Education and Training, 013 - Training of teachers without a subject specialization, 018-Training of specialists in social pedagogy "The Issue of Functional Literacy in the Context of Modern Education" the next meeting was held.

      The main purpose of the meeting is to define modern methods of foresight forecasting and qualification requirements in the system of training future specialists, as well as the formation of functional literacy of the new generation of specialists.

      The meeting was attended by the Chairperson of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulzat Isbasarovna Kobenova, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Quality Assurance of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maira Turganbaevna Meldebekova, the National Academy of Education named after Y. Altynsarin, the National Academy of Education named after Akhmet Baitursynuly, the National Center for Research and Evaluation of Education "Taldau", representatives of the Branch of JSC" National Center for advanced training "Orleu",  Professor of Michigan State University (USA) Dr. Nancy Romig, heads of educational organizations, scientists and university teachers, employers.
