On October 15,  the Department of Strategic Development of Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University organized the forum "The Future in Women's Hands: From Girls to Leaders." The event was dedicated to the International Day of the Girl Child  and the International Day of Rural Women, highlighting the importance of supporting and developing leadership among girls and women, especially in rural areas.

The event aimed to demonstrate how education and leadership contribute to empowering girls and women, with a particular focus on girls from rural areas. The forum emphasized the contributions of these women to sustainable development and shaping the future, becoming a platform for sharing successful practices and formulating concrete recommendations for the further development of initiatives.

The forum brought together active students from the "Sustainable Development" student club, experts in education and leadership, as well as representatives of international organizations, including partners such as the UN. Participants discussed the current challenges and opportunities in the field of education for girls and women in Kazakhstan, focusing on the development of leadership skills and removing barriers that prevent their full participation in public life.

Also during the event, participants were able to explore the photo exhibition "Rural Women in Leadership and Education," which showcased stories of women from rural regions of Kazakhstan who have made significant contributions to the development of their communities through education.
