The head of the Center for Social and Gender Studies of QyzPU was awarded a Certificate of Honor

  The head of the Center for Social and Gender Studies Salimzhanova Aizhan was awarded an Certificate of Honor by the Minister of science and higher Education for conscientious work and merits on the path of prosperity, which made a significant contribution to the development of higher education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

  The certificate was presented by The Chair of the Managing Board – Rector of Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University Qanay Gulmira, and Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation Dzhumakulov Zakir.

  The Center for Social and Gender Studies has been operating since 2000 (The Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 913 of September 16, 2000)

  Main mission of the Center is promoting gender and social equality through the implementation of multidisciplinary research projects and social initiatives. Over the years, the staff of the Center have conducted numerous research projects, published scientific articles/books/methodical manuals, held conferences/round tables/seminars. The center is also a scientific practice base for Master and Doctoral PhD students of the country's universities, who are engaged in gender studies.

  The Center for Social and Gender Studies cooperates with the National Commission on Women Affairs and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as with the UN Women, to achieve gender equality and expand the rights and opportunities of women. This cooperation is aimed at the promotion of gender equality, the development of effective policies in the field of family and demographic policy, as well as the implementation of projects that contribute to the improvement of the position of women in Kazakhstan.
