At the initiative of the Institute of History and Foreign Languages of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, the Republican subject Olympiad «Digital Lady» among schoolchildren has come to an end.
The main purpose of the competition, which was organized for the first time, is to promote the choice of profession of future entrants, to increase the interest of school graduates in future professions.
The educational competition was organized in 2 stages to increase the intellectual potential of young people and the image of the university in society.
More than 100 students from all over the country took part in the selection stage of the competition. They had the opportunity to take a test in English and test their basic knowledge. In this round, the contestants answered lexical and grammatical test questions and performed tasks on audio and video materials. In the first round, 11 students scored 70% and qualified for the finals.
In the final round of «Introducing», each student made a 2-minute video on «What's a Digital Lady» in the age of globalization to introduce himself and his school, and presented the image of the «Digital Lady» of the XXI century. In the "Magic Box" round, students performed tasks that determine knowledge and cognition, and in the "Star Question" section, participants answered questions from professors and teachers of the university.
According to the results of the multi-stage competition, Dilyara Arynova, a student of the secondary school-gymnasium "Ushkonyr" of Almaty region, became the best and took first place. The second place was taken by Aida Orazbek and Dana Sabitova, students of №86 school in Almaty. The third place was taken by Shahruza Sultanbekova, a student of Hamza secondary school in Turkestan region, Armanda Kassenova, a student of №86 school gymnasium in Almaty and K. Leyla Kurmashina, a student of the secondary school named after Sypatayev, shared.
Winners and prize-winners were awarded with special diplomas, letters of thanks and certificates.
The student, who took part in the Olympiad "a hundred – fast..." had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of English for free for 4 months at the Language Training Center of the Women's University.
