    • Students of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University together with police officers honored the memory of children killed in a road accident in Almaty

Students of the Women's University and traffic police officers tied white ribbons around 11 trees in the alley, which is located at the intersection of Al-Farabi Avenue and Zhaksylyk Ushkempir Street, as part of the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. According to the Almaty Police Department, this particular section of the road has become the most accident-prone.

According to statistics, since the beginning of this year in Almaty there were almost 3 thousand road accidents, 84 people died, 11 of them were minors.

"The color white is a symbol of purity. And children are the purest and most innocent of creatures. Child mortality in accidents greatly depresses us, and we, future teachers, want the drivers of vehicles to hear us. We ask them all to observe the traffic rules and not to exceed the speed limit," said the students of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.

Afterwards, the students, together with traffic police officers, distributed the schoolchildren's drawings to drivers. In these drawings, the children also urge road users to follow the rules.
