    • Famous Cambridge University graduate shared his knowledge with QYZPU students          

       The famous British researcher in the field of education Dr. Thomas Harriott for 10 days shared his knowledge with students and teachers of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University. The foreign guest was welcomed by the Chairman of the Board - Rector Gulmira Qanay, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Yerkyn Zhumankulova and Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation Zakir Dzhumakulov.                                                            

      From the first day of his arrival at the university, the 1st year doctoral and master's students received from the world expert the necessary skills for a successful dissertation. The Cambridge University graduate was happy to share his invaluable research experience, he also gave an open lecture on "What is action research and lesson study".

                                                     

      Dr. Harriott also showed different methods for researching teaching practice. In addition to students and faculty, representatives of other pedagogical universities and partner schools came to the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University to listen to the researcher's lectures.                                             

                                                                                 

      Students of the 3rd and 4th years had a unique opportunity to listen to a separate lecture on Lesson study by Cambridge University graduate Thomas Harriott. Graduate supervisors and teaching staff were able to discuss with him the topics of thesis projects on Lesson study. The staff of the Department of Academic Program Development and Quality Assurance with the help of the expeter studied the development of educational programs on British methodology.   

                                                           

      Undoubtedly, the knowledge and materials received from the British researcher will be of great help to students and teachers in improving their teaching skills.
