      On February 8, within the framework of the «Eurasia Foundation (from Asia)» project, Kim Injai, Professor of the Department of Information Systems at the Dongguk University, visited the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University with a guest lecture.

      Professor Kim Injai graduated from the American State Research University of Nebraska at Lincoln, currently his field of study is Information Systems Management and Cyber Security. In his lecture, the professor explained how information technologies streamline the flow of information at the global, regional and local levels, their key role in the formation of the technostructure, in enhancing the role of education and are actively being introduced into all spheres of socio-political and cultural life.

      During the lecture, students of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines studied the functions of a corporate network infrastructure in detail, which is a set of many different networks, from the public switched telephone network to the Internet and corporate local networks connecting the whole world, the standardization process necessary for the exchange of big data and information, which connects different types of networks. At the end of the lecture, examples of the «Hyundai Heavy Industry» wireless communication shipyard and «Samsung», the leading corporation in South Korea, were considered.

      Despite the difficulty in understanding the terminology of the field of information technology, our students once again showed a high level of English proficiency and their interest in global changes in the world, sharing their opinions and topical issues in the field of cybersecurity, excessive consumption of electricity required for storage and transmission information in data centers, which today exceeds the total energy needs of individual countries. After the lecture, students took joint photos with Professor Kim Injai with great pleasure, personally expressed their gratitude for the informative lecture and for the visit to our university.
