The course «Eurasian Community: Global Education and Leadership» has been launched at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University for a dedicated educational grant from the Japan fund «Eurasia Foundation (from Asia)».
On January 25, 2023, at the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Institute of Social Sciences, Humanities and Art of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University «The Eurasian Community: Global Education and Leadership» special course was opened within the framework of the international educational project of the Japanese fund «Eurasia Foundation (from Asia)». The Eurasia Foundation (from Asia) was founded in December 2009, whose grant academic projects were implemented in 500 universities of the world in more than 40 countries of Europe and Asia.
The main activity of the international fund is aimed to the formation of a united Eurasian community through cultural exchange and the acquisition of additional knowledge about the countries and nations of this region, the development of cooperation between Eurasian universities in the fields of science, education and culture, the organization of master classes for students studying international relations, social sciences and humanities. Under the direction of Vice-Rector in academic affairs Zhumankulova Yerkin and the course coordinator Belyalova Aigerim developed a syllabus of the course and a program of guest lectures by leading domestic and foreign professors from such countries as Japan, South Korea, Spain. The first introductory lecture on the activities of the foundation, the goals, and objectives of the «Eurasian Community:Global Education and Leadership» course was held by the teacher of the Institute of the kazakh and world languages, doctor of pedagogical sciences Belyalova Aigerim, during which a discussion was held on the development prospects of university science and the national education system, examples of world-class university models were given.
At the end of the lecture, students were able to visually compare the advantages of the national innovation system of such countries as the USA, France, Japan and South Korea, their international experience, which shows the effectiveness of creating areas of high-tech industries and innovation clusters based on large universities, after which students received answers to their questions and shared their opinions. The next lecture of the course will be held on February 1st by Complutense University professor Lopez-Varela Asunción.
The process of conducting this course not only brings together the faculty of the institutes, its departments and divisions, but also stimulates the active participation of students in the implementation of university projects to ensure world-class research and education. We are confident that the students of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University will make a great contribution to becoming leaders at the global level in the future.
