A festival of pedagogical ideas was held at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University. This year's annual festival was dedicated to the Year of Children in Kazakhstan and has been titled as "Well-being and mental health of children".
The annual festival, this year consisted of two stages. At the first stage, from November 28 to December 2, an exchange of pedagogical experience took place between school and preschool educational institutions and the university. During this period, the leading teachers-practitioners of the schools and preschool educational institutions conducted open classes and master classes for prospective teachers of the University. In turn, the leading scientists of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University organized master classes for schools and kindergartens. The second stage of the festival, on December 2-3, plenary were held under the name "EdTalks: All about children", and breakout sessions, respectively. The festival attended by the Commissioner for the Rights of the Child in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the best teachers and psychologists, researchers, professionals in the field of medicine, art and children's literature. Also, within the framework of the Festival, there were creative zones for children: "Book reading zone", "Educational games zone", "Drawing zone", "Young master" craft zone, "Dance world" dance zone, "ROBOspace" robotics zone. Creative zones for children worked throughout the entire period of the Festival.
The main purpose of the festival organized on the initiative of the university is to discuss the creation of a favorable educational environment in educational institutions and families to ensure the well-being and mental health of children.
At the opening of the festival, the following specialists took part in a free discussion of their topics in the Ed talks format;
1. Aruzhan Sain, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Republic of Kazakhstan, topic “Our children always need us”;
2. President of the "International Institute for Family Development" Akbota Bazarbayeva, topic "Mental health of a person and its impact on various areas of life";
3. Topanova Gulmira, author of the program "Conscious Parenthood", leader of the program "Theoretical and Practical Psychology" of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, topic "How to become a conscious parent?"
4. Diyara Antaeva, a professional nutritionist specializing in children's healthy nutrition, the topic "How to improve schoolchildren's academic performance by balancing nutrition?".
5. Taiteliyeva Laura, teacher of the department "Preschool and primary education" of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, the topic "Can you listen to the voice of a child?".
Each speaker put forward a number of problems that arise in their field of activity, linking them to the mental health of the child, and suggested ways to solve the problem. After the speech, the speakers answered the questions of the participants and gave feedback.
