      Candidate of Philological Sciences, Master of Leadership and Management in Education at the University of Nottingham in the UK, Yedilbai Toleubayuly has been holding a scientific seminar on academic writing at Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University since October 20.

      University provides a unique opportunity for undergraduates, doctoral students, and teaching staff to participate in a scientific seminar on academic writing. This seminar aims to discuss and research various ways of writing and developing the skills and abilities to write scientific texts.

      The seminar allows the participants to write their scientific articles, participate in group discussions and peer reviews, consultations with the lecturer, and mandatory participation in weekly classes.

      As a result of the training, participants

       will have an idea of the types of academic writing;

      • learn about the peculiarities of writing and structuring scientific articles;

      • will be able to quote correctly, paraphrase;

      • receive a certificate of participation.

       

      A brief bio about the instructor:

      In 2015, Yedilbay passed the training in the “Management in education and science” specialty on the program Bolashak at the University of Nottingham. The main course taught is “Academic writing”. Author of mini – online courses and the author of the academic manual on the “Academic Writing” course, released in 2018. Published about thirty articles in English and Kazakh languages in the sphere of management and linguistics.
