On October 28, an international round table "Menin suyikti otbasym" was held on the basis of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University NJSC. The event was attended by international funds in the field of family and demographic policy, representatives of women's entrepreneurship, medicine, university management and students.
The round table was opened by a member of the National Commission for Women Affairs, Family and Demographic Policy under the President of Kazakhstan, the Chair of the Managing Board – Rector Gulmira Kanai.
The purpose of the international round table: exchange of experience, discussion of new trends and effective methods in the field of family and demographic policy.
Industry experts from the International Institute of Family Development, the International Federation of Family Development IFFD in Kazakhstan, the International Association Professional Coach Union, the Marriage Modernization Foundation BOPE, the Foundation "Kazakhstan Akeleri", and the company "Trove" shared their best practices.
Such issues as the formation of a spiritual and moral worldview in the minds of students, knowledge of basic vital skills for family improvement, prevention of early unplanned pregnancy, and the creation of a family strategy were discussed.
As a result of discussions in working groups, the participants proposed the following initiatives:
- providing psychological support not only to students but also to their parents, in order to develop communication between parents and children;
- launch of such courses as "How to be a good father", "The future of married couples", "Courses of moral, spiritual values and national traditions", "Marital love", "Choosing a life partner", "The role of women in society", "Couples consultations"
- conducting joint programs on topics related to personality formation, family issues, work with psychological trauma, etc.;
- conducting joint foresight research in the field of family and demographic policy;
- creation of an online trust center in Telegram, an analogue of a hotline;
- conducting preventive trainings and lectures on the prevention of unplanned pregnancy, sexual diseases and bad habits;
- sharing with success stories of female entrepreneurs with students.
Following the results of the round table, a Memorandum of cooperation "Coalition for Mental Health Improvement of Society" was signed.
At the end of the round table, a meeting of the Coalition participants with students took place, where the guests presented projects in the field of family and demographic policy, shared the results of the meeting and provided an opportunity for students to apply for the courses.
